Morning Session (5:45AM)
Overhead Press
Work up to 3(3x145): 10x75, 5x95, 105, 115, 3x125, 135, 145, 145, 145
Weighted Pull-ups (35 lbs)
6 Sets for Max Reps: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3
Time: 19:00
Accessory
4 Rounds:
8 Arnold Press, 40 lb Dumbbells
8 Hammer Grip Pull-ups
10 Diamond Push-ups
10 Hammer Curls, 40 lb Dumbbells
10 Back Extensions holding a 25 lb plate
Time: 10:01
Evening Session
Conditioning: Metcon
Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
40-lb. dumbbell power cleans, 10 reps
15 pull-ups
20 box jumps
Post rounds completed: 5 Rounds +10 PC's +8 Pull-ups
Comments: Decided to go ahead and knockout the strength portion of my workout this morning. Maybe that fried chicken last night will push me over the edge and I can get my program reps on OHP.
OHP: Well, I got my reps, but with way too much bounce from my feet. I think it's time to dial the weight back a little on these.
Weighted PU's: Not my best showing on these, but that is probably due to them being supersetted. That's fine with me. The main intent was to save time.
Accessory: Moved through this pretty quickly and was literally drenched in sweat and the temp was in the low 60's out here.
Metcon: That was a good one. Ending the day just like I started it, drenched in sweat. Totals were as follows:
60 Dumbbell Power Cleans
83 Pull-ups
100 Box Jumps
I'll probably rest tomorrow and then hit some bench/rows/metcon on Thursday. Have a great night!
