WU: 5RFT: 5 DHPU's, 5 air squats, 5 push ups, 5 AMSU'S, 5 Squats@135,155,175,195,215 TT=9'11" Strength: Squat 5x3@255,265,275,285,295 TT=9'35" Conditioning: 12' AMRAP: 100m run, 80 SUs, 10 air squats (add 10 to the air squats each round) TR=5+15m run Notes: Well, I decided to reset on my squats and lower the weight back down. I did this to get some form back and hopefully rid myself of nagging knee pain. These sets were all parallel, close stance high bar squats. The conditioning was a gasser, especially after squatting moderately heavy weight. I mean, what's better than squats? More squats...and running...and jumping rope! Today was the last day of school for teachers. I'm definitely ready for a break. I actually need a break from my own kids right now. Hope you had a great day! Oh, make sure you wear your new cowboy hat when you work out. ; )

Oh, make sure you wear your new cowboy hat when you work out. ; ) Smart move dialing back the squats. Not only will it help with knee pain, but also having the form right is important. Plus, well, it just feels good to dial it back once in a while and refocus. I think I'm nearing that point myself in my programming. Yeah, that conditioning would suck after squats. Good job getting it done. Glad you are getting a break. Maybe I should've been a teacher... Just walked in the door and updated my timecard. 31 hours so far this week. Vacation is only 2.5 weeks away. Thank you God... That's funny on needing a break from your kids. I only have one and already know that feeling... As for the cowboy hat, I think it will be awesome to wear at the beach, but doubt I will wear it much around here. We live in yuppie heaven and out of the 7 years we've lived here I have yet to see someone with a cowboy hat on. If we move a little further out it will probably get worn more.

I was just yanking your chain about the hat. I have a large straw sombrero that I wear all the time. Everyone hates it, but I keep wearing it because it does the job. People have even gone so far as to buy me new ones, but the sombrero is cooler and more comfortable than anything else. As for the squats; historically, I haven't had problems with them, but soccer season led to me cherry picking workouts. Squats are hard, so I found that I would often skip them and then when I did squat I went heavier than I should have. Oh well, live and learn. The boys started their indoor soccer league today. It's three evenings a week. A lot of the same kids, but boy did my guys look good. #1 & #2 were killing the other teams. Good stuff.

A sombrero huh? That's awesome. Hey, whatever works right? You like it and it serves it's purpose. That's all that matters. Getting back into a linear progression program really helped me out after cherry picking for a while. Maybe you could start doing something like that during your break. Glad to hear that the boys are killing it in the indoor league.
