I feel like a new man. After taking almost two weeks off, I couldn't get over actually having energy during my last two workouts. The following was my "rough" schedule for the last few months: Sunday: Squats/Bench, Short Metcon, Core Monday: 4:00AM Rows, Core (before heading to the airport) Tuesday: 45-60+ Minutes of Cardio, Core (Running, Elliptical, etc.) Wednesday: Long (Body Weight) Metcon, Core (20 Minutes+) Thursday: "Rest" Day/Travel Friday: Deadlifts/Press Saturday: Rest Mondays and Thursdays were usually 16+ hour work days. Mostly in transit, but it still wears you out. No wonder I was so beat down all the time. I may look at re-doing my training program for my next ravel season. Every ounce of energy in my body said that I should've been training less. I started off trying to keep up the pace that I was doing when I was at home and tried to squeeze it all in while travelling. Probably not the best idea. Anyway, it is pretty eye opening to see that I only really had one true Rest Day per week. To call Thursday a rest day would be laughable at best. Keep in mind that most people would be completely worn out doing a travel week like that and they probably only do it once or twice per year (to go on vacation). I was doing it every week. That's crazy.

That's one thing Guy was always talking about was listening to your body. That's what I suck at sometimes and that's why I did discus drills instead of a heavy metcon Thur. We sometimes get too caught up with "getting it done" and forget that sometimes getting nothing done actually "gets something done."
