I am enjoying this program. I can see a lot of hypertrophy as well as an increased work capacity. I like being able to set rep maxes rather than weight maxes because, really, am I going to be in a PLing meet anytime soon? Don't get me wrong, I hope to increase my 1RM over time but, will enjoy burning some fat and setting some rep maxes. I start the 8's wave next and my spreadsheet allows me to enter the number of reps I hit in this week's AMAP sets which will determine my new "working max." The sucky/good thing is, my working max is going up on all my lifts so the upcoming 8's wave will be harder.
I have also been using the "My Fitness Pal" app to keep track of my diet, calories and macros. It has been an eye opener for me to actually see the percentages of protein, carbs and fat I eat. I have had to make some adjustments! I increased my protein % to 40 and my fats and carbs to 30 each. It's hard to eat that much protein, but the whey shakes mixed with water have been helpful without adding additional fats & carbs.
I am trying to lose some weight, so far it's been 10-11# depending on time of day. If I stick to my diet (kind of a misnomer as I am not really reducing calories just the make up of the calories) I will have lost 20# in 5 weeks. I already know that my 1RM will suffer so, Doug Young's records are in no danger.

That's awesome that you're enjoying the program so much. I'm with you on the 1RMs. It's good to set them, but to me, constantly chasing after them was starting to take the fun out of my training. In other words, it is more enjoyable to me sometimes to just go through the motions on more of a maintenance plan. Sounds like the Juggernaut Method allows you to do both. That's really cool. I think I said it back when you first tried that program that it reminds me more of undulating periodization. I read about that in my Powerlifting book and would like to try it at some point.
I should probably get an app like that too, but would have to guesstimate a lot of my stuff as I eat lunch on the road a lot. There is a guy I've been working with a lot lately who I hope will join us here. He is pretty hardcore about his diet and it would be good to hear his input. He tends to approach training more from a body builder's perspective, so he is really into diet. That is something that I pay little attention to right now. It's great that you've been so successful losing weight. I want to drop about 5-10 lbs myself. Maybe we can somehow incorporate all of this into the site. Then it could be a one stop shop for training and diet, etc.
I thought about starting a blog on certain topics and instead of being one of those people who just "types whatever they think", actually looking at it as a way to learn about a certain topic and backing it up with common sense and (dare I say) science. Sorry, I have very little trust in our medical and scientific community as many "studies" are nothing more than XYZ Company paying to get some scientist or doctor to approve of whatever drug or product they want to sell. I am extremely cautious of what I choose to use from that field. Anyway, that is an idea I've been tossing around, but as usual, don't have a ton of time to devote to it.

Actually, with the app I have they have a HUGE database of foods with a lot of them "verified" by their company as being accurate. Example: if I eat a sausage biscuit at Hardee's, I just enter "Hardee's Sausage biscuit" in the search bar and BAM, there it is. Yes, it takes a few minutes to enter it, but it also remembers the foods that you enter on a daily basis.

I eat at mostly mom and pop owned restaurants though, so I'm not sure how it would do with that. Plus I am one of those conspiracy theorists that thinks that they are tracking everything we do in their pursuit to turn things into 1984. I don't know, I'll think about it. Like I said, I already keep track of everything I eat in a spreadsheet, I just don't have the nutritional info plugged in. And thanks for bringing up Hardee's biscuits this morning...
