Mesocycle 15. Week 4 (Variations). Session 3.
Weighted Pull-up Challenge (25 lb)
Complete one set every minute on the minute, for as long as you are able:
3 Reps of Wide Grip Pull-ups
3 Reps of Regular Grip Pull-ups
3 Reps of Hammer Grip Pull-ups
*Repeat, starting with Wide Grip Pull-ups, etc.
Note sets/reps completed: 33 Complete Sets + 2 Reps WG (101 Total Reps)
Conditioning: Distance Run, Outdoor, Paved & Trail
5 Miles, 43:47, 8:43 Pace, 688 Calories, 174 Feet Elevation Gain
Comments: Well, it was a long week in Nashville. Very hectic job site downtown. We had two very long work days and 8 hours of driving each way to get there and back. Still tired from that and this pollen has me feeling like crap too. I'm tempted to run on the treadmill just to stay out of the pollen, but may run outside anyway since it's 75 degrees. We'll see how I feel after pull-ups...
Weighted Pull-ups: Pull-ups were the one thing that got left out in my two monster sessions earlier in the week so I wanted to do them here. Pretty happy with these results. 100 reps of weighted pull-ups is a good pull-up session I guess...
Run: Screw it. Let's go outside!
That sucked so frickin' bad. Not one fiber of my being wanted to do that run. I really have to start doing these in the morning again. It's just more motivating. Evenings are for relaxing. OK, OK, I'll stop b!tching.
