Last day of work at my current job. Barely slept at all last night. Well, some thunderstorms helped with that too. It was a good five years. I'm blessed to have worked with some genuinely great people and to have seen many places that I otherwise may never have seen. Also, I learned some valuable skills that will help me in my future endeavors. It was a good run. Time to focus on the future.
As for training, I'm going to hit some bench in a few. I'm not going to try and hit any heavy singles today as I'm pretty burned. Just going to try and get the working sets. Afterwards, I may do some assistance work and then mow the yard. Hope you all have a good one.

Bench Warm-Up: 5(145, 195)
3(5x210) *Pause 3 Seconds at Bottom. Explode up. *Rest as needed between sets
Assistance: 10 Minute AMRAP (5 Round Max): 5 Squats @ 60% (185 lbs) 5 Good Mornings, 135 lbs ME Weighted Pull-ups, 50 lbs
Rounds: 4 Rounds Pull-ups: 4 PR, 3, 2, 2, 2
Conditioning: Mowed the Yard
Comments: Bench: Felt pretty good for these. Skipped the heavy singles and just went for the working sets. Pauses could've been a little longer. Other than that, pleased with these reps. This weight is where I stalled out last time. Those felt strong. Assistance: Definitely feeling the no days off. Those squats and Good Mornings were laughable. Happy with a PR 4RM on Weighted Pull-ups though. Conditioning: Decided to go ahead and mow the yard before it got up to 100 degrees later. That may be it for my conditioning today unless I'm feeling extra motivated later. Have a good one.

Nice job. I am out of commission for a bit. I spent the whole day working on the bathroom. Got final paint on, flooring laid, new lavatory lights set and 1/3 of the new trim set. After that, went to our local AA baseball game and didn't get to bed til 2330. At the doctors now for a wellness check, then back to work on bathroom to finish trim and set toilet. May get a swim in later, but will probably not lift. Truthfully, I think I may take a month off the lifting and just focus on losing some weight and stretching/conditioning.

Daggone, good job to you! That's a ton of work. I hope everything went well at the doctor. Don't blame you on the month off from lifting. I think I've lost a few pounds just from working in this heat. Well, hope everything goes well. Sounds like the bathroom is much nicer.

Doctor says I'm healthy as a horse. He even commented on my high creatinine levels, but said that it was because I have so much muscle mass. The JM has put some serious hypertrophy on me, the wife even called me a "meathead." The month off is to give me a rest, I have developed some aches and pains and personally feel like I have spent a lot of time training and not enough time engaging with my family. It is summer break and as a teacher I'm off with the wife and kids for 70days or so. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to train, it will be cardio, body weight, etc. I'll still post results, etc. Once school starts again I will restart the JM after I max. I like the program as it is very flexible and I can get a lot of interaction with the crew at JTS via the web. I hope that the new job goes well. I'm excited for you.

Sounds good. Glad to hear that the doctor went well. I doubt they would say the same about me right now. I'm going to take some time off to rest. I may do some light conditioning but that's about it. I think a lack of sleep is hurting me pretty bad. I'm getting headaches and have a lot of trouble concentrating. That's no way to go into a new job. When I do start back up it will probably be a deload week and then I'll go from there. To be honest, I may drop the weight to something more manageable and just go through the motions for a while. Hope you guys enjoy your vacation! Sounds like fun to me!
