Morning All. I'm trying to fit too much in today, that's for sure. It looks like I'm heading out of town next Monday, so I am going to have to move everything around a little bit. That means Squats and OH Press will be on Sunday. To make a long story short, I'm going to be doing Bench this morning, Deadlifts and a short metcon this afternoon. Then tomorrow I'm going to do a distance run. My new backpack and hydration bladder should be here today and I had originally planned on doing a ruck on Saturday (8-10 miles), but don't want to wear my legs out like that the day before squats. So I'll likely just do some sort of run tomorrow. My old backpack was on it's last leg, so as usual I wanted to get something that is of good quality and meant to be used not only for work and travel, but also for rucking. After a lot of research, I ended up with the 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 Backpack. I also got a food grade hydration bladder that holds 100 ounces (3 liters) of water. I come from running and am not used to having water on long runs so this is really exciting for me. I'll write a full review on both of them in a few weeks, once I've used them both more. Speaking of which, I may make a separate forum just for equipment reviews. I'll go through and grab old review threads too and move them there. OK, off to do some Bench. Have a good day. WU-200 single unders 1'25" 4' AMRAP: 5 flutter kicks, 5 push ups, 5 jump squats, 5 jumping jacks TR=6 on the money
Deadlifts: 175*5 210*3 245*1 265*fail(14) TT=8'34"
Conditioning: 1RFT:50 four count mtn climbers, 50 push ups, 50 four count flutter kicks TT=7' on the $$.
Felt pretty good for this workout. The deadlifts were not too bad, although I was hoping to hit 15. I'll take 14. The fifties weren't as bad as they usually are either. Kind of weird since I'm running on 5 hours sleep. On my way to soccer practice.

Oops, I actually did Good Mornings. Forgot to change that. The reason was that I didn't want to bust out 40 SLDLs before doing Deadlifts tonight. Speaking of which. Time to get on it.

I was reading through that pdf of crossfit bodyweight workouts today and some of those look like a challenge even for a Navy SEAL. I like the one that starts off: "This takes 8 hours to complete." Ha ha. Yeah right. Have fun at soccer practice. I've got DLs and a metcon in a toasty garage.

Comments: Only 6 hours of sleep last night here. Bench: Felt fine for these. Rows: Accidentally got my math wrong and did the first two sets at 155 lbs. So I added 10 lbs and did 7 reps on the third set. Deadlifts: Felt OK for these given the jump in weight and the long week. Metcon: Man that sucked. Not one bone in my body wanted to do that metcon and it showed. It was much harder than it looked. Body Blaster suck and 115 was no picnic either. Tomorrow will probably end up being rest. Not sure what I'm going to do about my distance run for the week. I'll play it by ear. Have a good night!

Thanks man. Yeah, that was a long one. Looking back, I really didn't need to do all of that today. I need to save Bench for Friday's. There really is not point to doubling up that when it isn't absolutely necessary. Hope soccer practice was fun.
