Top o' the morning to you. Pretty worn out from yesterday here. I packed my running stuff in case I get super motivated and want to run after work today on the way home. There is a long, flat trail that I drive right past that I may stop at and go for a run. We'll see. Hope you all have a good day.

DL: 245*4*8 245*8+(12) TT=7'38"
Conditioning: 500m run;40 squats,30 sit ups, 20 push ups, 10 burpees TT=6'03"
Fast training day. We have soccer and Scouts tonight. I rested 1' after the first set and then added 15" to the new total every set after that. DL's were easier than the conditioning. That metcon is a benchmark of mine. Today was my best time ever:6'03" Hopefully you can get a run in.

Conditioning: Distance Run
3 Mile Trail Run, Slow Pace 25:32, 8:30 Pace
Comments: Tried out this trail at Jordan Lake. It was not marked very well and I ran off of the trail several times. I had to turn around and get back on the trail while also trying to wipe all of the spider webs off of my face. Probably covered with ticks too. Oh well, it made me run faster so that's a good thing. Not upset with that pace at all. Rest day tomorrow and family in town all weekend. Hope you all have a good night.

That is a good pace. #1 rule when running woodsy trails is to always have a "spider stick." I always grab a long skinny branch with a tuft of leaves at the end and swing it back and forth diagonally in front of me. Helps.

For some reason it escaped me yesterday. Man, you talk about scaring the heck out of the hikers. Running through the woods swinging a long stick. Ha ha, that would be awesome!
