Comments: Was able to get this in. Forgot to do Pull-ups. Will try to do those later. Felt pretty strong. Switched up the Assistance work to save time. Have a good day.

I have finally drank the 531 Kool Aid. Just started the first week of the boring but big cycle using the Joker sets. It will be a challenge to work in proper conditioning as my time is limited due to coaching flag football. We will get it done though. Hope you had a great day.

We will get it done though. Hope you had a great day. Nice work! I think you'll like the 5-3-1. It is simple and effective. The end of my cycles right now are 5-3-1-ish. I like Saturday mornings for a long run. Other than that, I only do one long metcon during the week and the short run and short metcon are all pretty quick (15 minutes or less). That works out pretty well. If all of your workouts look like what you're doing today, you could probably get it all done in half an hour or so. That's pretty reasonable.

Conditioning ended up being another 12 hour work day with a ton of manual labor. The site we were at was really muddy the last two days so we couldn't drive onto the site. That meant that we got to carry all of our gear in and out on foot. Most of the time we were carrying 50+ lbs the half a mile in and then back out at the end of the day. That doesn't even count the actual work and several other trips out and back in for more stuff and lunch. My coworker used his GPS app to track his walking for the day and his was 4.5 miles. Mine was about a mile longer than that due to an extra solo trip back out to the van. Pretty beat down after these two days. Had to drive an hour and a half each way too and was covered with mud coming home Good times... Deadlifts tomorrow evening and maybe Pull-ups and/or Bench in the morning. We'll see...

Kudos to you. I don't have any manual labor in my job but I walk about 5k a day going all over the school. Mud is heavy when it gets caked on the shoes. I have DL's Thursday.
