Madcow: squats 4*5 up to 190; OHP 4*5 up to 110; DL 4*5 up to 290 TT=16'53" Felt good. Easy day. 5k tomorrow.

As you can probably tell, I'm low balling it while training for the race. I figure the volume will (even at lighter weight) will keep me from losing all gains.

Deadlift 5x235, 3x285 5x305, 5x325, 5x345 (PR 5RM)
Assistance: 4 Rounds: 8 Deadlifts, 210 lbs 10 Sit-ups & Side to Side holding a 25 lb Plate
Time: 26:08
Conditioning: Metcon
10 Minute EMOM: 6 Ring Dips 8 Ring Rows 10 Squats holding a 45 lb plate
Comments: Pretty much got screwed last night and had to cover for someone at work today. Checked into the hotel after midnight last night and woke up at 6:00AM. After that I worked 10 hours… Pretty tired for this one to say the least. Seems like that always happens on DL day. Ha ha… Deadlifts: Strong sets. Happy with a PR on these. Metcon: This was a good one. Will have to log this away. Planning to do Bench tomorrow and a run at some point. Have a good night!

Sounds like we are doing similar weights in our programs. I rarely ever max out nowadays. 3RMs are about as high as I go. I actually like it better because it is more manageable and less stressful on my body. I've gotten hurt a fair amount going for 1RMs, so I'd prefer to go for 3RMs. The weight is still very challenging, but much more doable than a weight so high that you can't even be sure about getting 1 rep. I'm looking forward to seeing how your program goes while you prepare for the race.
