Good morning. Cleaning house today, preparing for company coming to town tomorrow. Hoping to get some squats and a run in. It is looking like rain, so I may have to substitute something else. Hope you have a good day!

We've had rain, thunderstorms and tornados this morning. Supposed to have a short two miler today. We'll see how the weather treats us. Cleaning up our house too.

Comments: Joints are aching like crazy for this one. Not sure what the deal is with that… Squats: Man, I remember a year ago when I could barely get one rep at 225 lbs. Happy with that PR! The assistance work sucked. Legs were crushed after all of the sets of 8. It's going to be a long week. Interval "Run": I hate having to sub burpees for running, but it works, and I swear it makes running seem easier the next time. Happy with these times. Would've probably skipped the conditioning tonight if I hadn't been eating an extra 1000 calories a day for the last week. OH Press tomorrow. Have a good night!

Rep maxes > 1RM I'm glad that you are embracing the squat. Yeah, I've been eating and drinking more than usual too. Burpees suck...no matter what. I ran from the house to the mechanic shop to pick up the van. We had a bunch of mileage maintenance stuff taken care of. They are located right at 2 miles away. I ran fast because it was sprinkling with bands of heavy about every 15-20 mins. Was motivated to not get caught in one of the downpours.

Thanks man. This has been a really fun cycle. It has been so awesome to switch it up a little and it always feels good to get new rep maxes. All of the sets of 8 were brutal. My hamstrings are smoked right now. This week is 8RM week. Next week will be 6RM and then 4RM on the last week. Those are all working up to the 7RM, 5RM and 3RM that I set on the first three weeks (if that makes sense). Good times. I'm going to keep switching it up from here. I can tell I was getting stagnant in the 3x5 and needed a change.
I like your run much better than mine today. I would've run in the rain too, but it was dark so I had to switch it up. Great time, again!
It sure is nice to be able to kick back and drink a few beers and actually watch a MNF game for the first time this season. It's great not having to wake up at 5:00AM for a change. Hope you all have a good night!
