1.10 mile run TT=8'22" Bench: 4x10@140# then 1x10+(15)@140# TT=6'05" Will be having to switch programs from Madcow to the Juggernaut Method. Performing three big lifts a day plus running a lot is proving to be too much. (I know Trent...you can say it: I told ya' so!) The Juggernaut Method will be much easier because it will be six weeks before I get to the big weights. Hope VA is treating you well.

It's funny, after I read that you were switching programs I thought to myself, "I think I remember thinking something like that, err....." I don't remember telling you so, if that makes you feel any better. Hopefully the Juggernaut Method will work better for you with the running. I'd advise you to sit down and really think about managing recovery. That is the other half to programming that seems to be long forgotten. You can lift big and run big, as long as the body parts being used are reasonably rested. Long runs tend to be better paired with upper body lifting days. Sprints tend to go better with lower body lifting days. Those have been my observations. Looking forward to seeing how it goes for you. My training is officially screwed this week. Meant to do a metcon when I got home tonight, but didn't sleep well last night in the hotel, worked a 10 hour day and drove the entire 4 hours home for my boss, who has a stomach bug, and then another hour to my house only to have to fix a dish washer that overflowed and flooded our kitchen. Planning to do Bench/Chins tomorrow and maybe a metcon. Then a run on Saturday. Hopefully next week will be a little less hectic. Have a good night man.
