Conditioning: Distance Run, Outdoor/Hills, Paved and Trail 9.3 Miles, 1:28:08, 9:28 Pace, 400 Feet Elevation Gain, 1277 Calories
Comments: Wasn't really feeling it today, but fought through it anyway. My goal was really just to finish on this one. By the end, I couldn't even run up hill so I had to walk up the hills. Legs are completely smoked and I'm pretty sure that's the longest run I've ever done in my life. Glad I accomplished it, but you still won't see a bumper sticker on my car... Next week is either going to be a maintenance week or a week off. I haven't taken a week off in almost three months. Hope you have a good one.

Well, I am healthy. Cholesterol a little high. (2points) Doc said that even with my muscle he wanted me to lose about 10#. Guess I will be running more after the 15k. I ran my furthest today. 7.10 miles! The first four were fine. The last three, not so much. I had to stop at miles 5&6 to stretch my hams. My average pace was 9'02" which includes stopping for traffic. I had to cross one main two lane and then a super busy 4 lane. TT=63'21" Nice work man! That is a solid time for that distance! Glad to hear that you're healthy too. Since I got this new job I never go to the doctor because I don't want to have to pay our deductible. Haven't been in a year now but my cholesterol was almost bad enough to go on medication. Blood pressure too. I politely refused, citing my complete distrust of the medical community... Sorry about the rant. Glad to hear that you are alive and well though. Thanks. I'm not trying to win any awards or kill myself so I'm cool with 9'/mile average. My fastest mile was 7'51" today and that was mile three and it was down hill. I did get to run in a place I've always wanted to. It is a large concrete drainage ditch that is 3/4 mile long. It's right off the main highway and I always see it to and from work, so today I told myself I was going to see where it goes. It goes to a lake that I never knew existed and I have lived here my whole life. Man, you know what the crazy thing is? I didn't mean to run a 15K today. I mapped out an insanely long running route ahead of time and then ran it. It just happened to work out to that far. I'm not messing with you. To be honest, I thought it was going to be more like 7 miles... That being said, I think that you can beat my time on the 15K. If you ran 7 miles without much of a problem, I know that you can get 9.3. Hopefully your legs and joints can take a beating for longer than mine. After about 6 miles it became a struggle for my legs. My hips, knees and ankles were hurting like crazy and my left hip felt like it could come out of joint a few times. I kept thinking to myself, "this is probably the longest run I'll ever run on this Earth" and that is fine with me. In a race situation, things could be different. I think that adds motivation and I feel like you're going to smoke me. No matter how well you do, I'll be pumped for you and will congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. Glad you got to run through the drainage ditch and discover a new lake. You gotta love stuff like that. Have a good night man.

Spent all day at a gulf side aquarium with the family. Saw some really cool stuff and got to see my boys fully engaged with the natural world. Much to the wife's chagrin they even saw a pair of river otters and some tortoises mating. The 4YO: "Momma! Look, them otters is fighting!" "No,no honey, they're just playing. Let's go look over here." "Momma, look that tortoise is climbing on top of that other one!" "Good lord! Let's go look at the sea urchins." Got home and did this: WU: 4' AMRAP: 5 chins,10 push ups, 15 squats TR=4 in 4'12" Front Squat (A2G): EMOM 115*5 120*5 125*5 130*5 135*5+(10) TT=4'32" Floor Press: EMOM 125*5 130*5 135*5 140*5 150*5+(7) TT=4'37" Conditioning: 12' AMRAP: 4 chins, 4 burpees, 4 four count mtn climbers, 4 leg lifts TR=10 in 12'24" Pretty happy with all of it. My quads were smoked after the run yesterday and then the front squats. As a result, the squats in the conditioning were my time sucker. Tweaked my left shoulder during floor Press as well. Church and grocery store tomorrow. About to shower and drink a cold brew. Good night.
