I woke up an hour early today and will do a metcon this morning in my hotel room. I don't care if I am winded after that. I don't care if it messes up my squats tomorrow. I don't care. No more excuses. I can't take 3 days off in a row during a work week anymore. There is no excuse for that. To be honest, I think it was more a result of poor planning. I probably would've worked out in the morning once or twice, had I known that I would be working until 7:00PM every day this week. So I guess it wasn't entirely my fault. Thanks for letting me voice my frustrations. Hope you have a good day.

Conditioning: Metcon For Time:
Five Rounds of: 7 Pull-ups 14 Push-ups 21 Squats
Five Rounds of: 5 Pull-ups 10 Push-ups 15 Squats
Five Rounds of: 3 Pull-ups 6 Push-ups 9 Squats
Time: 15:18
Comments: Good metcon. A new twist on an old favorite. The reps average out to regular old Cindy sets. So it ends up being 15 Cindy rounds starting out harder and getting easier as you go. Perfect for the hotel room this morning. OK, off to work and who knows after that. Have a great day!

WU:500m run; 4' AMRAP of: 5 push ups, 10 squats, 20 jumping jacks TR=6 in 4'16" Conditioning: 30-25-20-15-10 of: 25# med ball cleans and ring pull ups (band assisted) TT~20-25' (accidentally hit the reset button... dang) This is an old school couplet from January 2003. This was back when CF programming made sense. Glassman actually programmed it as ASSISTED PULL UPS! I used a light band and it was still hard. I had to partition the reps into sets of 5 for the last three sets. Good workout.

Even then, I still think that it should be used primarily as conditioning, but at least it isn't stupid, high risk metcons like it is today. Thanks on my metcon. If you want strength, then program strength with these old school CF WOD's. Due to my new schedule and the time constraints, I'll be doing more stuff like this. Probably until the end of April, first of May. I am also on a strict diet of: breakfast=1 cup of coconut milk, 1 cup of blueberries, 2 scoops of whey protein; lunch=the same thing; then a sensible supper. In between I am eating macadamia and/or Brazil nuts. Trying to drop some serious LB's. I have a lot of muscle but am probably at 18-20% BF which is unacceptable. I'm 46 and have three kids under the age of 9YO. I gotta keep up.

Diet or exercise? Welcome to our small forum. Feel free to post your workouts, questions, etc. You'll find lots of support here even if it is from the same couple of guys.
