Good morning. I just finished reading a really good book and have decided to adapt that style of training. The cool thing is that the exercise portion of it is pretty minimal. All you have to do is sit on the couch. Exercise consists of getting up once in a while to go and get another beer. And coincidentally, beer is the primary source of all nutrition for this diet so you don't have to eat or drink anything else. The even better news is that I think my wife makes enough money for us to pay for it, so I'm going to quit my job and just work on training full-time. So that being said, this is the metcon that I'm planning for today:
Conditioning: Metcon 16 Hours to Complete: 12 Trips from the couch to the Fridge and Back

I'll join you in the new workout philosophy now. Wait, I have a 5k race tomorrow so I may have to wait another day.

I'm partaking in my "new workout philosophy" tonight, but am planning to run tomorrow morning too. Got lazy today with the cloudy weather and I was just drained from a long week of 10-11 hour days. I may run my 5K course and have a competition with you tomorrow morning... Good luck in the race. I'm sure you'll do great!

I've been working out hard lately. "Franny," as far as I know is my own scaled version of "Fran." The reps are 15-12-9 instead of 21-15-9 and the Rx'd weight is 95#. I plan to do "Franny" about every 10 days and if my TT stays close I will increase the weight by 5-10#. Last time it was 65# with a TT=5'25"; today 75# with TT=5'30". Next will try 80-85# and if I get within 9" of 5'30" I'll move weight again next test. If I go 10"+, I'll stay. I am also entertaining increasing each sets reps by one instead of moving weight. For example, 16-13-10. As Rx'd, the total reps are 45 so I'll shoot for that volume. Don't compete with me tomorrow. I am running with my 7yo. It is a fundraising event for our school so it is not a real run. I'll still post our results. I am back to doing CF type programming but trying to keep the strength alive. Those Snatch Grip DL were hard. My grip is terrible that way.

Still, I look forward to seeing you try it. Maybe program in some heavy Front Squats or even Thrusters for strength lifts to help you get there. Maybe some dedicated Pull-up work will help too. That being said, you have heavy time constraints too, so you have to do the best you can.
