As i get leaner I am now finding it difficult to hit my sets as i was at 206lbs, im now 177lbs. So im going to drop the weight and go from 10 reps to 15 and really concentrate on getting some good definition in. Ill do this for 4 months then ill start bulking again and go to heavy weight with low reps. Before i was keeping the same weight and workout all year and was not seeing much change so this is a trial run for me wish me luch lol.

Honestly, I still can't get over the fact that you've lost that much weight. Your arms look bigger to me now than they were in your avatar. I'm not sure if reps of 15 is what you need. That may be too many, but I'm no expert. Sounds like a good plan. My goal is probably just the impossible, to lose a little more weight and keep gaining strength. If you have any solid numbers or goals with time tables and want to lay them out, feel free to do so. Glad you're back Mike!

If you have any solid numbers or goals with time tables and want to lay them out, feel free to do so. Glad you're back Mike! This is the diet i go off of. Protien 4 cals per gram Carbs 4 cals per gram Fat 9 cals per gram At my weight of 177lbs i need 2700 calories a day to maintain my weight. So I'm doing 2200 to lose a pound a week with out exercise. i'm doing a 40/40/20 split 40%protien 40%carbs and 20% fat For protien i do a 1.25grams per pound of body fat so 1.25X177=221G of protien a day or 885 calories of protien for fat i do 20% of my total calories so 2200X.20=440Calories which is 48G of fat a day Finally for carbs i subtract my protien and fat from my 2200 and whats left is what i get for carbs so 2200-885=1315-440=875Cals of carbs or 218g. So daily i want 221g of pro 218g of carbs 48g of fat On top of this i burn an extra 3500 calories a week at the gym so im losing 2 pounds a week.

Man, that is really impressive! I don't know how you keep up with all of that! I just looked at that app I have on my phone and discovered that it keeps track of your carbs, fat and protein. Ironically, my target calorie intake is 2750. I haven't paid attention to much else. Looking back over a month's time (30 days), my macros averaged to this: Carbs: 394 Fat: 83 Protein: 112 That looks super lopsided compared to yours. WAAAYYYY more carbs and a lot less protein. I'm guessing the carbs are coming mostly from beer. I drink a soda with lunch too and usually eat desert one time a day. D@mn!%!!!!! That is everything that I really like to eat and drink!!!! As for the protein, I guess I could just take a supplement to get more of that. Man, this is depressing, but eye opening. So what do you suggest? Obviously eat less sugar, cut out soda and drink less beer.

For me its the carbonation that i like so i can deal witht he taste. being a beer man i assume you dont enjoy beers like Michelob Ultra 95 cal beers??? For protien i do take a supp for it. thats whats going to help you heal. less carbs for sure but i dont fear carbs as much as fat. but all the yummy things have fat. Its hard thats for sure, if i want to drink a beer or 6 i usually just half my carbs for the day. But on the bright side every single one of the power lifter in this video have beer guts. so have hope my friend www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kE7bzveF2s

Nice. Yeah, I'm trying to cut out soda. That is one of those things that is just a waste. I'm addicted to it though. I like my one sprite with lunch. As for beer, I was drinking a lot of heavy craft beers for a long time and just recently switched to mostly Modelo, which is only 115 calories (compared to ~175 for craft beers). The real weakness is the sweet tooth. My wife is a connoisseur of fine desserts, which is like the fricking devil on your shoulder every night at dinner. Not to mention we usually eat really late and just go to sleep right after. Yeah, I've got a lot of things not in my favor... As for the video, that is pretty nuts. I can't imagine lifting 1,000 lbs. Heck, I'm shooting for a 1,000 lb total! But yeah, let's see those guys do some running.

See, the beer gut really helps in these strong man situations. You lift the log up to your gut and set it on top of it. That gives you a short break before you lift it up over your head. Same with the atlas stones. You see, I'm training for these types of scenarios. You would have a huge disadvantage there.

My rule is beer on Friday and Saturday nights. None during the week. Do I worry about my belly? Sure I do, but I'm 45 and have been wearing the same waist size since I was 16. There was a time when I was running marathons and such that I was skinny but I couldn't lift for sh#+! At this point, I'm happy with me.

While I certainly can't fit into the same pants that I did in highschool, I've only expanded about two or three inches on my waist and gained 50 lbs total. I'd say that's fairly well proportioned. I'm not overly concerned with the way I look as that is just going to continue to go downhill. I'm more concerned with being strong and in good cardiovascular shape. Mike, these are the excuses that older people tell themselves to make it OK to get fat. You'll see.
