Good morning. More of the same here. Throat is feeling better but the nose is running. Going to work outside all day so maybe I'll sweat it out a little. Either way, I'm not planning to train until this cold is gone. And honestly, I'm starting to really enjoy my lower back feeling good, etc. I'm sort've re-evaluating my training program. The dedicated powerlifting routine is good, but it seems to be taxing my body quite a bit. It may be doing more harm than good. I may need to try a different approach. I like the structure of a dedicated strength and conditioning session in a workout, but deadlifts seem to be killing my lower back and I really have no aspirations of going heavier on them. I may need to try something more like what you're doing where you just pick a lift and work up to a max for the day and then follow it with conditioning. Either that or just start doing a different variation for deadlifts each week (Power Cleans, Power Snatches, Sumos, Clean Pulls, Snatch Pulls, etc.) That may be the way to go. I know that my strength will wain, but it seems like keeping that strength up is wearing my body down and that is not the purpose of this training. OK, just thinking outloud and I always like to bounce ideas off of you. Hope you have a good day!

Sometimes it is good to switch things up occasionally. Hope you feel better.

WU: none, 116° real feel Strength and conditioning: 8' AMRAP of: 3-6-9... continue the pattern til time cap of: HPC and box step ups TR= made it to 15 of both and 10 HPC. Then, 5RFT: 10 supermen and 5 evil wheels with 135# TT=5'51" Hot as can be...quick workout getting ready to go out with the wife and then to the beach for the week. Probably be out of commission but, if I do get one in I'll post it.
