Work up to a 5RM. 95,115,135,175,195*** TT=8'41" Conditioning: 5RFT: 5 power cleans to push jerks@135#, 10 box jump overs, 100 m run TT=11'50" Notes: happy with the PJ max! It was tough. The conditioning wasn't too bad but I was sucking a little wind by the end.

Yeah, the conditioning looks like a gasser. C&J's at 135 followed by BJO's and a sprint are each hard in their own right, much less back to back. Great job getting through it! It was a rest day here from training. Did some manual labor at work though. Lots of picking stuff up and carrying it, sometimes up and down stairs and through the mud. My legs are SMOKED from squats. Going down to 10" box squats was tough. Knee is still hurting too. May have to keep the run at a reasonable distance tomorrow. Really annoying...

More like a 7' mile pace jog. 😉 Sorry about the knee. I feel you on that one. It wasn't too long ago that my knee was hampering my life. Well, the programming I have been following has a rhythm. I can see process now. I am definitely fit. I could be fitter but for a 45YO special Ed teacher/soccer coach I'm hanging in there. I love scrimmaging with the teams as it allows me to test my fitness in a practical way.

Ha ha, I know what you mean on the sprint. Last weekend I changed it up from an 800M sprint to a 400M sprint and on the first one I didn't even notice I was running an 800M pace until halfway though it. I then thought, "well, I ain't going much faster than this anyway." Yeah, I'd say you're making progress alright. You have some crazy strength gains going on. Your OHP, etc. gains are phenomenal. Seems like you're hitting massive gains on Squat and DL too. It really is mind boggling to me because it doesn't seem like you're doing a ton of work. And I don't mean a ton of work as in the crap that I'm doing. That's just straight up volume for the most part. You are just keeping it short, sweet and heavy and that's it. Possibly out of necessity. Well, whatever it is seems to be working and I'm happy for you. Lately I've been contemplating my training again. I'm wondering if what I'm doing is hurting me more than it is helping me. For people that sit in a cubicle all day, they may need to hit it hard and do a bunch of volume. For people like me, who actually do physical labor at their job, it may not be as necessary. Maybe it has always been more of a hobby to really push it and now my body is starting to have a hard time with it. Particularly my joints. My grandfather had both knees and hips replaced. I'm starting to see things unfold, if you will, and am wondering if I should be going about this differently. Don't know, just thinking out loud.
