WU: 44445 reps of power cleans and HSKU's PC loads: 65,85,105,115,115 TT=7'41" Strength: Power Snatch 3,3,3,3,3@135,140,145,150,155 TT=8'24" Conditioning: FT: 30 burpees (unbroken); rest 1 min; 30 alternating one arm DB snatches @40#; rest one minute; 30 pull ups TT=8'49" Notes: enjoyed the HSKU's. They were all free standing for about a 3-5 second hold. Have not done power snatches in a while and I could tell. Form was off. The conditioning was not bad until I got to the pull ups. Yikes. After 12 it was sets of 3-4. Real time sucker. Didn't sleep well last night and just found out that I need a timing chain for our van. $3-4000 and it is not paid for. Almost but not yet. Not sure what to do. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

Good looking metcon too. Wish I would've seen that when I was trying to figure out if I was going to do one, but too late now. Sorry to hear about the van. We got in a similar situation a few months ago with our old Explorer. It was going to cost us $3,000 - $4,000 to fix it and the car wasn't worth $2,000. We just went and got a new car. Hated to take on a payment, but that thing was just going to keep needing major repairs. I'm guessing you're at about 100,000 miles? Still sucks to have to do that, but you will hopefully get a few more years out of it before it really starts needing more repairs. Still, that price seems pretty steep to me. Isn't it normally like $2K or less to get that done? Sorry to hear that man.

Comments: It was a pretty long day at work today. I probably walked a few miles and every bit of it was under load. Some of it was up and down stairs. I saw a metcon I really wanted to do, but probably shouldn't due to my knee still not being 100%. I'll see how I'm feeling after Bench/Rows... Bench: Arms are definitely smoked from the last two days of work. Probably could've gotten those last two reps but I wasn't set up at my rack and had no spot so I stopped at 3. Rows: First time doing these in a long time. I still get some pretty bad nerve pain shooting up my arms when I go heavy on rows, so I tend to avoid them. Decent sets though. The warm-up/burnout sets of 50 are tough. I got some good reps on them though. Assistance: Holy arm burner Batman! That wasn't terribly hard, but it got the sweat pouring. Conditioning: Not going to do that metcon right now. It involves some really heavy deadlifts against a clock and that sounds like a recipe for injury with the week I've got going. Two more manual labor days coming up. Hope you have a good night!

Nice work. Heck, I have not benched in IDK how long. Yeah, sets of 50 are rough. I say that and I did sets of 30 today. Hope that knee gets to feeling better.

My mechanic told me that it had something to do with a design/materials flaw and yes, we are at an ~120K miles. The trade in value is only $8-9000 and we owe ~$4000. I like the van and am just going to bite the bullet and spend the $$$. The cost is so high due to parts. Dealership cost for parts is ~$3000+labor. My mechanic is $2000+labor. Either way a chunk of change. Right now I have the van, my old 2001 Mazda SUV and my granny left me 2014 Nissan Altima which is a creampuff of a ride. We are fortunate to have options. I plan on using the van for a while so I think it will be a good investment. Also, I trust my mechanic...we have been using him for 20+ years and he is honest and open with his opinion. Anyway...

Sounds good to me. And that is even better that you have options. We were in a really similar position, but both of our cars had 150K plus miles. For us it was time to get another car. My goal is to hopefully have the new van paid for by the time we have to replace my 2005 Civic. It is running out of oil every couple of months...
